BOARDING

Idylwild Farms is a "training barn". That is, we ask that all horses boarded in the main barns be in training with one of our trainers. We take great concern that the horses boarded at this barn lead happy healthy lives. This needs to include some kind of physical workout or training at least once a week. We are also a family-oriented barn. We enjoy having children, adults, families as clients. Especially on weekends there are a lot of people here, and lots of socializing. Join in!

Our basic main-barn boarding rate includes a 12'X12' stall, automatic waterers, twice-a-day feedings of wheat hay, alfalfa, and/or orchard grass. Stalls are cleaned daily and bedded with rice hulls, and shavings. We offer discounted rates for boarders with multiple horses. Daily turn-out is included, and is optional, providing that the horse does include some kind of exercise in its life here. We have several large pastures where horses can be turned out to run, roll, and socialize with others. We also have smaller pastures for horses who need to be turned out individually or in very small groups.

We try to provide a secure facility. We have a very friendly and helpful staff on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Gate and storage are locked at night.

Idylwild Farms has several foaling stalls available. We also almost always have other foals on premises

Many stalls have attached 12'X30' paddocks. We add more of these paddocks every year. They are available on a first-come-first-served basis. We also have outdoor paddocks. And, we are willing to construct custom outdoor paddocks or facilities to meet a client's special needs. Please contact us to discuss the details.

We offer a lsrge range of optional additional services, including blanketing, grooming, graining/supplements, hand-walking/longeing/exercising. Please contact us for details about your horse's special needs. We can provide trailering to our barn if you need it. Contact us for details.

Idylwild Farms is more than just a barn. It's a place where time takes a step back and slows.
